Tom Burckhardt (b. 1964, New York, NY) received a BFA from State University of New York and attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.  Recent solo exhibitions include Richard & Dolly Maass Gallery at SUNY Purchase, Caren Golden Fine Art, and Tibor de Nagy Gallery in NYC. Articles have been written about his work in The New York Times, Art in America, The New Yorker, ArtNews, New York Magazine, Art in America, and The Village Voice. Awards include the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, New York Foundation for the Arts Painting Grant, and Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation Studio Grant. Burckhardt lives and works in New York City.
