Susanna Coffey (b. 1955, New London, CT) received an MFA from Yale. She is represented by Tibor De Nagy Gallery in New York City, Alpha Gallery in Boston, Bang Street Gallery in Provincetown and Alejandro Sales Gallery in Barcelona. In 2000 Coffey represented the US in the Korean Biennial. Her awards include a Tiffany, an NEA Grant, an American Academy of Arts Award, and a Guggenheim. Her work is in the collections of the Minneapolis Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the American Academy of Art and Design. She has taught at the Art Institute of Chicago since 1982, and at Cooper Union, NYU and Parsons in New York City. Coffey lives and works in Chicago and New York.
