Steve Locke was born in Cleveland, OH in 1963 and holds degrees from Boston University and Massachusetts College of Art and attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. He has been nominated for numerous awards including the Louis Comfort Tiffany, the Joan Mitchell and the ICA Boston Artist Prize, and been awarded a LEF Foundation Grant and an Art Matters Foundation Award. Locke has guest lectured at Tufts University and Art Institute Boston and taught at College of the Holy Cross, Emmanuel College. His work has been shown nationally in New York, Boston and Savannah, and internationally in Switzerland, Brazil, and China. He currently lives and works in Boston, teaches at Massachusetts College of Art, and is represented by Samson in Boston, MA. View more of his work on his website.
