Journey into the Yoga of Sound
Nada Yoga is the Path of Union(yoga) with the Divine through the medium of Sound or Music.
TBA
Our evening begins with a few simple call and response (kirtan) chants designed to awaken the spirit and quiet the mind. As the repetition of sacred sounds moves us into a meditative state, Fletcher will gently guide you into a state of deep relaxation. As sacred sound fills the room, the body releases tension and enters a state of bliss.A donation of $15 dollars is requested.
All are welcome, previous experience with yoga or singing is not necessary.
We've got a NEW CLASS on the schedule

ON-GOING
Tai Chi
TUESDAY 7-8PM
Anyone can practice Tai Chi regardless of age or ability and all levels of ability are welcome to join this Tuesday evening class. Each session begins with one on one instruction. The class then does a set together, of collected group postures.
Tai Chi emphasizes on technique over strength. It requires no special equipment, and can be done indoors or out, alone or in a group. It can burn more calories than surfing, and almost as many as downhill skiing.
Students are encouraged to start arriving around 6:45 so that there is ample time for individual instruction. Instructor, George McKenzie has been an instructor for 18 years, and has been practicing Tai Chi for at least 26 years.
Meditation Practice
THURSDAY 5:55-6:15
A 20 minute silent meditation will directly follow Fletcher's Thursday Vinyasa class. This opportunity for meditation/contemplation, and mindfulness practice is open to any level of practitioner and is the perfect extension of the asana practice.
Yoga Asana (the physical practice of yoga) was developed in order to prepare the body and mind to sit for extended periods of time in meditation. Meditation in conjunction with asana practice can be particularly beneficial and powerful. Participation is not required for those enrolled in the 4:30-5:55pm Vinyasa class, but we invite and encourage you to stay on. By sitting as a group, together, we cultivate a supportive and mindful community.
If you were unable to attend the 4:30 Vinyasa class, but wish to join us for meditation only, please wait in the vestibule of the studio until you have heard the the final OM (around 5:55)
Please note: This will not be a guided meditation practice . However, basic instruction will be offered at the start of the practice.
ALL ARE WELCOME
