Richard Baker (b. 1959, Baltimore, MD) studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Maryland Institute. Solo exhibitions include Tibor de Nagy Gallery, NY, where he is represented; Washburn Gallery, NY; Hackett-Freedman Gallery, San Francisco, and Albert Merola Gallery, Provincetown, MA. Group exhibitions include the Aldrich Museum, CT; the Whitney Museum, NY; CT Graphics Arts Center, and Robert Steele Gallery, NY. He is a recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, and his work has been reviewed in Art in America, Modern Painters, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and The Boston Herald, among others.
