Michael Thomas is the author of Man Gone Down, a first novel published in 2007.  The book received a review on the cover of the NYTimes Book Review and was subsequently selected as one of the TBR's top five novels of the year.  Many other reviews and profiles followed including a large one in his home town paper, The Boston Globe. The Broken King, a memoir about four generations of men in the Thomas Family will be published by Grove Atlantic in February 2010, and another novel will follow. Michael is a full-time professor of English at Hunter College. Public Space recently published his essay "Who's Your Daddy?" and he has another upcoming in an anthology on Fathers and Daughters to be published by Harper this Spring.
