Margrit Lewczuk (b. 1952, NYC) studied at Queens College and the Brooklyn Museum Art School. Lewczuk has received a Gottlieb Foundation Grant, a Guggenheim Fellowship Grant, an NEA Fellowship, a CAPS Grant, and a Rauchenberg Foundation Change Grant. Solo Exhibitions include the Pamela Auchincloss Gallery, NYC; Bjorn Wetterling Gallery and Thorden Wetterling Gallery, Sweden. Lewczuk has been teaching at the New School University since 1998. She has also been a Visiting Artist at Boston U., Mass. College of Art, RISD, and Cooper Union.
