Larry Woiwode is the author of five novels, including Beyond the Bedroom Wall, a finalist for the National Book Award and the National Book Critics Circle Award, Poppa John, What I'm Going to Do, I Think, and Born Brothers; a memoir, What I Think I Did; and a collection of poems, Even Tide.  His short work has appeared in such places as The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, and The Paris Review, and has been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship, The John Dos Passos Prize for a distinguished body of work, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters Medal of Merit for distinction in the art of the short story.  Woiwode lives in Mott, North Dakota.
