Kathleen Gilje has had solo exhibitions at numerous venues including Francis Naumann Fine Art, New York; the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.; and Bernard Toale Gallery, Boston. Collections containing her work include the National Museum of Women in the Arts; Yale University Art Gallery; the Weatherspoon Art Museum, Greensboro; and the Ingres Museum, Louvres, Montauban, France. Gilje has been featured in articles in Art in America, ARTnews, The New York Times, and The New York Observer.
