June 15 Award Winners
Vermont Studio Center is pleased to announce the following June 15 award winners:
Anderson Award/Frankel Chicago Award
Sponsored by the Marshall Frankel Foundation and Davis Anderson, this award is open to all Chicago-area artists, including faculty and alumni of the Art Institute of Chicago, for one 4-week VSC residency.
• Matthew Woodward, Painter, Chicago IL
Institute for Civil Society
This program offers two 4-week VSC residencies to inner-city minority artists with demonstrable financial need. This program is designed to support artists from small East Coast cities in the U.S. (for example New Haven, Jersey City, and Baltimore). Cave Canem Foundation Fellowship
This fellowship provides one 4-week residency to a poet who is a Cave Canem fellow. Home for the many voices of African American poetry, Cave Canem is committed to cultivating the artistic and professional growth of African American poets.

Henry David Thoreau Fellowship Award
This fellowship supports poets whose work is a living extension of the literary tradition embodied in the work of Henry David Thoreau.
