Joel Fisher (b. 1947, Salem, OH) studied Kenyon College. He has exhibited in Berlin, London, Paris and Amsterdam. His work is in the collections of the Tate Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London; the Centre Pompidou, Paris; and the Staatliche Museum, Berlin, Brooklyn Museum and the Museum of Modern art New York. He has taught at RISD, Bath Academy of Art in England, the Ecole National Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Currently he is engaged in a huge international stone research project. Fisher lives and works Vermont, but spends large periods of time Paris, and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
