Jene Highstein (b. 1942, Baltimore, MD) received a BA from the U. of Maryland, and a Post-Graduate Degree from the Royal Academy in London. He is represented by Michael Klein in NY, and has been a Visiting Artist at UCLA, Boston Museum School, Yale, and Emily Carr. He has taught at the NY School of Visual Arts and NYU. Collections include the Victoria and Albert Museum, Guggenheim, MOMA, the New Museum in NY, the Brooklyn Museum, the Walker Arts Center, and Panza di Biumo Collection, Varese, Italy. Highstein has received 4 NEA Grants, a Guggenheim Award, and a St. Gauden’s Memorial Prize. He lives and works in NY.
