Jean Blackburn received a BFA from RISD and an MFA from Yale in 1982. Her recent solo exhibitions in New York include Caren Golden Fine Art, Deven Golden Gallery, Bronwyn Keenan Gallery, and the Dahn Gallery. Blackburn's group shows include the Brooklyn Museum, Islip Art Museum, Artist's Space, and Gasworks, in London. Articles have been written about her work in Art In America, The Village Voice, The New York Times, The New York Daily News, and New York Newsday. She currently lives in Providence, RI, and teaches at RISD.
