ArtistHarmony Hammond
Harmony Hammond is an artist and art writer who lives in Galisteo, New Mexico. Recently she taught at Skowhegan and Anderson Ranch. Her work has been shown internationally in venues such as: The New Museum, P.S. 1 MoMA, Smack Mellon Studios and the Brooklyn Museum in New York City; the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles; Site Santa Fe; the Vancouver Art Gallery; the American Center in Paris; and the Neue Galerie in Graz, Germany. Her work was included in High Times, Hard Times: NYC Painting 1967-1975 (2006) and WACK! Art and Feminist Revolution (2007) two major historical exhibitions that traveled to the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe. Most recently she had a solo exhibition at Dwight Hackett projects in Santa Fe. Hammond’s work is in many collections: including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art and Chicago Art Institute.
