Francis Cape was born in 1952 in Lisbon and lives and works in New York.  He received an MFA from Goldsmiths College and studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. His work is shown at Sikkema Jenkins & Co. in New York and the Andreas Grimm gallery in Munich.  Cape has participated in Art Basel in Switzerland, and in 2010, he worked on a special project for the High Line in New York.  He is the recipient of a Pollock Krasner Artist Grant, the Henry and Natalie E.
