Frances Barth (b. 1946, NYC) studied at Hunter College, where she received her BFA and MA in painting. She has exhibited widely in both solo and group exhibitions, and her work is represented in numerous collections, including those of MOMA, the Metropolitan Museum, the Whitney, and the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts. Early in her career, she performed with Yvonne Rainer and Joan Jonas in NYC. Awards include 2 National Endowment for the Arts grants, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Joan Mitchell Foundation grant. Frances is the Director of The Mt. Royal School of Art, The Maryland Institute College of Art.
