David Kapp (b. 1953) received a BFA from Windham College in Putney, VT in 1974 and an MFA from Queens College in 1978. He lives and works in NYC in a studio overlooking Canal Street and Broadway. His paintings and works on paper are in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX, the Portland Museum of Art, Portland, OR, and the North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh, NC. He has taught at Brandeis University, Fordham University, Hampshire College and The Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation. He is represented by Tibor de Nagy Gallery, NYC.
