David Humphrey’s work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Museum of Art, Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh; and the Walker Arts Center, Minneapolis among others. He has shown internationally and is represented by Sikkema Jenkins and co, New York, and Solomon Projects, Atlanta. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, two New York Council of the Arts grants and the Rome Prize. Humphrey is currently a senior critic at the Yale School of Art and a book of his art writing titled Blind Handshake was released by Periscope Publishing in 2009. He lives and works in New York.
