Colin Chase  (b. Newark, NJ) received a BFA from Cooper Union and an MFA from the U. of Michigan. Solo exhibitions include June Kelly Gallery in NYC and Olin Art Gallery in Gambier, Ohio, and a public commission for a Malcolm X memorial from DCA in New York. Group shows include Socrates Sculpture, Gallery 128, Exit Art/The First World, and Neuberger Museum, all in New York, and the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia in Virginia Beach. Articles written on Chase can be found in The New York Times,  ArtMatters, ARTnews and Newsday. He is in the collections of the Studio Museum in Harlem, and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
