a new offering for 2012 – 2013.
THE VSC / CHINESE ARTISTS PROGRAM offers a unique opportunity for emerging and mid-career Chinese artists to visit the United States, learn about America, Americans and the American and international artworlds and broaden their creative and cultural horizons as a working artist in an international community of 75 fellow talented individuals. The program offers 4 to 12 week intensive studio residencies, year round, at the Vermont Studio Center, the largest International Artists and Writers Residency in the U.S.
Since 1984 the Vermont Studio Center has provided an ideal creative studio environment
for 700 artists and writers per year, from across America and around the world. Each month
60 painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, digital, new media and installation artists, poets, playwrights and writers are chosen through a competitive application/selection process and invited to participate as members of the renowned VSC creative world community, on the award winning 31 building campus.
