Tom Butter (b. 1952, Amityville, NY) received an MFA from Washington U. He has shown at Curt Marcus Gallery and E.S. Vandam Gallery in NY; Nina Freudenheim Gallery in Buffalo; and John Berggruen Gallery in San Francisco. He received a fellowship from the NY Foundation for the Arts and is a recipient of three NEA Grants. Collections include the Metropolitan and Chase Manhattan Bank. He has taught at Yale, Tyler, and RISD and currently teaches at Parsons. Butter lives in New York.
