Susan Mitchell has won many awards for her poetry, including fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Guggenheim Foundation, and the Lannan Foundation. She has authored three books of poems, most recently Erotikon and Rapture, which won the Kingsley Tufts Book Award and was a National Book Award finalist. Mitchell grew up in New York City, and now lives in Boca Raton where she holds the Mary Blossom Lee Endowed Chair in Creative Writing.
