2008-2009 Winners, Alternates and Honorable Mentions
The VSC Mex-Am Cultural Foundation Fellowship Program for Mexican Visual Artists was founded in 1992. The award winner receives a one-month Residency at the Studio Center which includes housing, all meals, studio space, round-trip airfare between Mexico and Vermont, and a $200 allowance for art materials.A distinguished jury selects the award winner and alternates from among the artists who apply.

Sandoval, a resident of Oaxaca and a native of Chihuahua, Mexico, works in a variety of visual-arts genres, including assemblage, photography, installation and sculpture. She has exhibited widely throughout Mexico.
